Some of our overpasses have electric heaters under the surface.

Samtzmom- We do leave large footprints in the environment with our lifestyles, but change is hard.

Mary- yes, potholes. Strange winter around here too. Quite amazing to see open water everywhere. Things may change over the next few days, but I have my doubts that we'll see everything freeze over as in a normal year.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31176502.post-1868804954801976202006-12-29T08:24:00.000-05:002006-12-29T08:24:00.000-05:00That is very interesting and something to think ab...That is very interesting and something to think about. In Maryland, the salt supply for snow and ice was overwhelming. The stuff ate away at the roads and I've never seen potholes so large after a snow storm. In Delaware, they used something else - a sand/ash combo. It looked dirty but cleaned up real well and didn't eat the roads.Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02040099513110890878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31176502.post-47134036043741846032006-12-29T07:39:00.000-05:002006-12-29T07:39:00.000-05:00Good thoughts Ruth.
