As an adult, for quite a few years I felt "stupid" when asking questions. I'm finally willing to risk looking like a fool. We also have skimmers here this year and was just thinking they were some kind of moth. I wonder if they are beneficial insects? I will have to learn more about them.

Thanks for another informative post. I always enjoy my time here.

Blessings,
MaryMaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08175754179624182953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31176502.post-89224715192155630152008-07-03T20:32:00.000-04:002008-07-03T20:32:00.000-04:00I too have seen less of "new" birds this past mont...I too have seen less of "new" birds this past month, but the babies of the common birds are certainly in abundance. Last week I came across 6-8 young Blue Jays hanging out in a tree. I think they just received their flying wings. I see (and hear) lots of adult Jays, never the babies. I was thrilled.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31176502.post-28136618255222507802008-07-03T17:04:00.000-04:002008-07-03T17:04:00.000-04:00I like the Chinese proverb. :DI like the Chinese proverb. :DThe Beckahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15205218179584431184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31176502.post-4274842529601295962008-07-03T10:59:00.000-04:002008-07-03T10:59:00.000-04:00It is amazing how quickly things change! It is amazing how quickly things change!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31176502.post-85040246025299206322008-07-03T10:13:00.000-04:002008-07-03T10:13:00.000-04:00Ruth--true true. I didn't recognize it either as a Highbush Cranberry. It's a very pretty bush. I'm hearing and seeing a few more birds now that many of the young have fledged, but it's still pretty quiet. Even the hummingbirds are not as active at the feeders - there's so many wildflowers this year for them. The butterflies and other insects are a lot Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31176502.post-67047679227412318162008-07-03T06:54:00.000-04:002008-07-03T06:54:00.000-04:00Things do change to reveal the answers many times....Things do change to reveal the answers many times. :c) My bird activity has been really low this past month. Thankfully, they are out eating natural food sources and only using the feeders as a supplement.Jaynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14057094040409159429noreply@blogger.com
