A Quiet Place

A Quiet Place

by Ralph Carmichael

There is a quiet place
Far from the rapid pace
Where God can soothe my troubled mind.

Sheltered by tree and flower
There in my quiet hour
With Him my cares are left behind.

Whether a garden small,
Or on a mountain tall
New strength and courage there I find.

And then from that quiet place
I go prepared to face
A new day with love for all mankind.

This post is dedicated to some friends who are dealing with
difficult situations in their lives right now.

(Here is a guitar rendition of the hymn on YouTube.)

  3. The words are very inspirational and the photo is lovely. And so very appropiate to me right now as I have been spending the morning in my garden working with my flowers. This is always a most favourite, appreciated time for me. Your post is a lovely reminder of the solace one can find admid the beauty of flowers.

  7. Thanks for your comments. The rain makes flowers beautiful as well as the sun.
