Wordless Wednesday: Where am I?

  1. I feel like a cyber detective! My guess is: Empire State Building in NYC. Do I win a pidgeon if I'm right?

  2. The Met Life building indicates NYC. Wouldn't you think that silly pigeon would stand on both feet?

Welcome back. Hope you had a great vacation.

  3. Of course you are in NYC at the top of the Empire State Building.
    The pigeon told me (sarcastically).
I have been up there several times and I always love it.
Just avoid the elevators, maybe you are gaining too much weight.

  4. Uh, on the set of "The Pigeon That Ate Manhatten?" :c)

  5. I am here until Friday...My feet hurt, but we are having fun. Internet access is pricey unless I haul my computer to the NY Library.
If Melissa wants a Manhatten pigeon...I'll have to see a taxidermist.
SLD...that sounds like a brother's comment ;-) The stairs were closed.
Maybe I was on a Pigeon film set...

Where ever you are, you are certainly getting a "bird's eye" view of it. Seems like the pigeon is enjoying your company.

Enjoy your last couple of days of vacation!

  7. Trust you to find the only living bird in New York (to paraphrase Simon and Garfunkel). And one who's into unipedal standing--perhaps working on balance and hip strength while breathing that wretched air we see across the skyline.

  8. FMDoc- LoL! The smog is impressive. I don't think I could take more than a week here without shortening my life. (I hope we get out of here and New Jersey with an intact vehicle!) And I am not practicing my unipedal stance in the streets here.

NYC, judging from what looks like the Chrysler building on the right. The pidgeon could be a clue of its own, however.

  10. What a view! That bird looks content on that roof.

  11. Ruth,

Great bird's eye view. I've never been to NYC but can see all that smog along the skyline.

Have a good time and be safe in that crazy traffic.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  12. Up on a roof, silly. Don't you listen to your James Taylor?

  13. Funny that NYC is smoggy to you. My guess is it may be more heat related. In fact, NYC is one of the greenest (if not the greenest) large city in the US. So many more people walk or use public transportation that anywhere else in the US.
I love NYC--and miss going there to visit our daughter. She is such a great guide. However, she is now our guide in London, UK.
