Pacific Ocean at Monterey Bay
Drove California's Highway 1 from San Francisco to Pacific Grove. Traffic light, lots of scenic stops along the way. This bay is full of birds and wildlife but today's strong northwest winds have driven away the Monarch butterflies which overwinter just two blocks from our exceptional hotel room. Hopefully they will be back tomorrow. Now I want to re-read John Steinbeck novels...
Yet another beautiful view. Thanks for the postcards Ruth. Safe journey tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful drive that must have been!
ReplyDeleteHope the winds die down so you can see the butterflies. What a lovely area.
ReplyDeleteWhich reminds me of the time when I read the old man and the sea.. a very nice time and a deep, touching story.
ReplyDeleteI wish for you, that those butterflies will be back tomorrow, and I wish for myself, that you'll be able to take a picture of them... a bit selfish, but very joyful thought. Have a good trip!
Enjoying your cards.
ReplyDeleteSuch a prety scene.ENJOY
ReplyDeleteBlessings,Ruth
