I'm sad for you and at the same time sad for me. What will it be like for me to lose my Mingus who has stood by me through the death of my D! Fortunately he is only 2 but one never knows! Pets play such a big role in our lives. Such loving Characters! I'm sure Dakota has stood by you time and time again and now wants you to stand strong for him!
My heart goes out to you--I know the pain well. These little guys sure do play a big role in our lives. After two years, we finally welcomed a new doggie, it was difficult, because I didn't want a "replacement"-that could never happen, but this little shelter puppy has turned out to be another wonderful addition to our lives. Hope you will move on to love again too. It may seem to soon right now, but eventually----
ooohhh Ruth...it saddens me to see this blog. My heart aches for you and your family. A pet becomes a huge part of our lives and I know all too well the feeling of saying goodbye. The memories of Dakota will live on in your hearts forever. My deepest sympathy.
Ah, Ruth, I feel your pain. My almost-12-year-old dog Megan passed away April 19. I haven't had the heart to blog about her life yet. Perhaps soon........
Oh Ruth, I'm so sorry to hear of Dakota's passing. Losing a cherished pet is one of the saddest things. I know Dakota had a good life with your family and you have some wonderful memories of your life together. Hugs to you from Minnesota.
So sorry, Ruth. It's so heartbreaking to have to say goodbye to a pet. Yours looks like a sweetie.
