  1. That first capture is outstanding. I really had to look awhile. Love the totem and the fern also. Very creative stuff.

  2. Very creative how the painting is blurred into the houses. I see more and more wood carvings in tree trunks! That one round sweep of the fern says it all!

  3. All of them beautiful, but for my livingroom wall, I'd go for the last one!

  4. Very cool pictures. I also had to look "into" the Ottawa pic. Is that you on the left?

I have noticed many carvings on tree stumps lately. They are becoming more and more popular. The curl on the fern is unique. Something so simple can be so magnificent.

    Thanks for sharing.

  5. The first painting is behind the glass of the art shop window. My daughter is reflected on the left and I can see myself on the right with a camera to my face. The buildings were across the street. A man in our area does a lot of tree carvings with a chainsaw. Totem style are is very popular right now. Like Esther, I am partial to the fern.

  6. I loved them all but there is something very special about the first one. Perhaps it's my love of reflections. Just beautiful.

  7. Simply stunning! The last s my favorite. I also love the previous post--I think I may have a problem differentiating between female chipping sparrows and song sparrows . . .

  8. The first shot is amazing. Love the carved totem, too. And of course plants are always beautiful.

  10. Beautiful fern shot! Have you ever eaten sauteed fiddlehead ferns? My mother in law made them for us in Maine.

  11. That carved tree is very interesting but it would scare the daylights out of me if I came across it in the woods at night!-Then again there wouldn't be any daylight left in me if it were night.
