The suitcase

I went back to the site of the mystery suitcase. It was still there and someone else had broken the edge of the locked case. (I wouldn't have done that!)

When I looked inside it was empty but a rolled up calendar from 2003 had been in it. Perhaps something else was here as well but taken by the person(s) who opened it.

I think the mystery was more fun than the apparent truth! Are the curious readers satisfied?? (Click picture to enlarge it)

  1. YES! Thank you. I actually found myself thinking about that suitcase as I was trying to fall asleep last night. (and again when I woke up in the night!) It would have made a terrific beginning to a story.

  2. It's even more mysterious now. Who opened it? And what did they find? My mind is on overdrive trying to figure out the missing contents. Were there any entries on the calendar?

    Great post!

  3. I would hate to think there was 2 million dollars cash in that suitcase and someone else is on a spending spree.

I also wondered if there were any scribblings on the calendar.

    Great story!

  4. I am satisfied! (Did my story incite that out of curiosity? I never wrote it in that entry but in my head all I found nothing in the suitcase, which is why I was so amused...)

There is a certain degree of mourning required when a good mystery passes but it is not over yet! There is always rooms for more pondering, who opened the suitcase? Did the take anything from it and what was it? Why a 2003 calendar? 5 years ago! Has the suitcase been there that long?

  6. I don't think I would have passed that suitcase without looking inside. Curiosity would have taken me.
