Birds are on the move.

  2. We've had some frosty mornings too and the dreaded "S" word in this weekend's forecast. It was a lovely autumn though, wasn't it?

  3. The frost this morning didn't want to let go. I just came home for lunch and found it still clinging to some shaded plants. It won't be long--and as much as I love winter, I'm not ready.

  4. I had to put on a scarf just to look at the first photo! That's how much my blood has thinned in Florida. (And send those birds down here, ... if that's where they migrate to.) We have a cold front moving through in a day or two, but right now we are blanketed in clouds that are funneling up from the tropics, so the humidity is up.

  7. Ginger- Frosty mornings are always still and don't feel as cold as the windy days.

Ruthie- Your "S" is forecast here for Monday. We will see... I do like autumn and this was a good one.

Beth- Winter is just fine if you don't have to commute anywhere and if it last just 3 months like it should. But I commute and winter lasts from November to the end of March here.

Robert- I guess my blood is thick because I don't even need my winter coat yet. The little white-throated sparrow is heading south. Nice that it stopped in my yard last weekend.

Ruth- I cannot complain of winter to someone from Manitoba!

    Cheryl- Thanks!

  10. Yes it is a White-throated sparrow. We only see them in the spring and the fall around here.
