Thanksgiving

Psalm 100

A Song of Praise for the Lord's Faithfulness to His People
A Psalm of Thanksgiving.

Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!

Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.

Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.

We have a busy weekend ahead. The weather is summer-like and I plan to enjoy the sunshine, fall colours, friends and family and all the blessings we enjoy in this great land of Canada.
See you next week!

  1. I like your red leaf too! Just seems to fit this time of year.

    And yes, we do have autumn in Germany, just not the vivid colors you'd see in Maine or somewhere really cold.

    Lovely autumn leaf photo--I wish our weather would make us feel autumnal. Weather forecast for this weekend--almost 90 degrees F! I can't stand it.

  6. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Ruth. We all have much to be thankful for.

    P.S. I didn't have the A/C turned off and yesterday afternoon it kicked in again--our highs were in the 80s!

    Sometimes I wish our Thanksgiving was at this beautiful time of year, instead of in late november when all trees are leafless and there is a good chance we'll have snow... But you know what? Every day should be a day to give thanks, and I know I have plenty to be thankful for! Beautiful leaves! Thanks for posting them!
